Turn mom’s phone into a big waste of time.

The grand opening of Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure was causing major traffic jams at the park, with wait times for the new attractions stretching up to 2-hours or more.

To entertain guests (and their kids) lined up in the queues, we were asked to reimagine three of the new attractions as mobile games.

Replicating the rides as digital engagements wouldn’t translate into the same fun experience on a phone. So rather than trying to bring the attractions themselves to life on mobile, we developed each game concept based on that character’s role in the film.

Each game featured a global leaderboard – and players could challenge
their friends on social to beat their scores.
